Sishu Griha has a culture of pedagogy that is over 40 years old. To us, it is an institution, one of the forebears in a system of education that is today widespread, founded on the Montessori method. This is just one reason why we chose to become a part of this glorious establishment.
There is so much more than just a system of schooling for children. There is an enviable sense of family, time-honoured values, and progressive thinking - all held together by a way that is special and unique.
Every child, and every parent of that child, is a part of this family. Because education is not just about the child. It's also about the child passing it on at home, and in society. This is what makes communities stronger, more balanced and versatile, no matter what the differences amongst people are. Ultimately, what's important is not just what the child learns, but how the child thinks. To problem solve, to know the self, to explore beyond usual limits, to be self-reliant, to be just in action, and to deal with life's everyday challenges with positivity.
This is Sishu Griha. Alongside, our endeavour is to enhance infrastructure and systems, while allowing the approach to education remain as beautiful as it has been for years, under the guidance and dedication of the principal, dean, and faculty - all tempered by the vision of its founding family.

One of our guiding philosophies at Sishu Griha has always been that a school is a place where young lives are shaped and futures take form, extending far beyond the curriculum. Over the years, our interactions with students, educators and families have only deepened our belief that education is both an opportunity for personal growth and a responsibility towards society.
The greatest sense of fulfilment throughout this journey has come from watching hesitant learners discover their potential, seeing teachers nurture character alongside academic excellence, and honouring the trust that families place in the institution. This shared responsibility lies at the heart of the Sishu Griha Foundation, a community where dedicated educators, supportive parents and committed leadership come together with a common purpose. Their collective effort has helped create a school culture where every child feels valued, understood and encouraged to grow.
As Mentor of the Sishu Griha Foundation, I remain committed to supporting the school's continued growth through academic excellence, leadership development and teacher empowerment. While educational practices will continue to evolve, the fundamental purpose of education remains unchanged.

Sishu Griha has always been more than a school. It is a home away from home, where a humane approach to life matters as much as academic achievement, and where our rich Indian heritage lives alongside modern technology.
What began in 1978 as a humble home of learning in Indiranagar grew into a pioneer of Montessori education in Bangalore. Through the years, one conviction has remained constant: the child must always be at the center of everything we do.
Learning can happen anywhere. But a school offers something technology cannot: the opportunity for children to grow through human connection, shared experiences, and a sense of community. It is where children learn to communicate, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships. In an age of screens and machines, our responsibility is to protect and strengthen what makes us human.
A school must also be a keeper of values. At Sishu Griha, we nurture principles that will guide our children long after they leave us. We strive to raise thoughtful global citizens who carry their roots with pride wherever life takes them. And above all, we want them to remain curious and confident, unafraid to ask, wonder, and try.

At Sishu Griha, we have always believed that meaningful education is grounded as much in character, integrity, and everyday acts of kindness as it is in academic excellence. We do not simply teach children; we take the time to understand them.

From a three-year-old taking their first steps into our Montessori environment to a Grade 12 student preparing to step into the world, every child is known, supported and encouraged to grow in their own way. This is made possible by our educators, whose energy, empathy and dedication bring our philosophy to life each day. They know that teaching is not only about imparting knowledge, but also about creating the space for children to question, explore and find their own way.
Our Montessori roots form the foundation of this approach, encouraging children to explore independently and develop a genuine love for learning. As they grow, that spirit of curiosity is carried forward through thoughtful mentorship in high school, giving students the freedom and support to discover their strengths and find their own voices across academics, the arts, sports and community life.
This growth is strengthened by a community that plays an active role in our children’s development. An involved parent community, a committed faculty and a strong alumni network have each played a vital role in shaping the Sishu Griha experience.
Ultimately, we want our students to leave Sishu Griha with more than academic achievement. We want them to have a sense of purpose, empathy for others, and the confidence to think for themselves, make their own choices, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
