Sishu Griha has a culture of pedagogy that is over 40 years old. To us, it is an institution, one of the forebears in a system of education that is today widespread, founded on the Montessori method. This is just one reason why we chose to become a part of this glorious establishment.
There is so much more than just a system of schooling for children. There is an enviable sense of family, time-honoured values, and progressive thinking - all held together by a way that is special and unique.
Every child, and every parent of that child, is a part of this family. Because education is not just about the child. It's also about the child passing it on at home, and in society. This is what makes communities stronger, more balanced and versatile, no matter what the differences amongst people are. Ultimately, what's important is not just what the child learns, but how the child thinks. To problem solve, to know the self, to explore beyond usual limits, to be self-reliant, to be just in action, and to deal with life's everyday challenges with positivity.
This is Sishu Griha. Alongside, our endeavour is to enhance infrastructure and systems, while allowing the approach to education remain as beautiful as it has been for years, under the guidance and dedication of the principal, dean, and faculty - all tempered by the vision of its founding family.

Sishu Griha, a home away from home, a place where children fondly use 'aunty' for their teachers, a sanctuary deeply rooted in our rich Indian heritage and also believes in modern technology, a culture that advocates a humane path to life in addition to the overall development of a child, and last but not least, a school that follows the child and helps the child’s evolution in life. This is what the school means to me.
With a history dating back to 1978, we surely have come a long way. Our Founder, and our family, has over the years truly built a remarkable institution. The Montessori approach has the most positive impact on the child, and it guides them through life. Parents too have joined our school as teachers and grow with our family even after their children graduate. Children who graduate are always welcomed by other institutions, and from there, in addition to building incredible careers, go on to accomplish a lot more in life - becoming not just adults with a passion for life, but good human beings.
Sishu Griha has built a reputed name not just in our country, but also in other parts of the world. The future of our school, having the very dedicated faculty and a blessing hand over us at all times, looks bright. As we move forward, we must always remember our simple and humble past, attributes that can be seen in any child. We are a way of life, and I am truly honoured to be part of this institution.

Sishu Griha, a forty-two-year-old institution, has slowly but steadily created a niche for itself in the field of education. The unwavering commitment of the institution towards providing quality education has served the aspirations of students who have entered its hallowed portals. A school with a difference, Sishu Griha takes immense pride in following a stringent policy of child–centred education and is more than just an educational institution. It is a tradition, painstakingly integrated by a group of people who are unique and irreplaceable; it is an environment of collaborative and enterprising culture. Indeed, this is something to revere!
‘Thamosoma Jyothir Gamaya’, the motto of the school signifies the journey from darkness to light and ignorance to knowledge. Recognition and encouragement of each one’s abilities and efforts have always been the hallmark of our school and our students have kept our flag flying high with their commendable performance in both scholastic and non-scholastic areas. The practice of involving parents in the education process continues till date. The positive learning environment, encourages students to express themselves freely without fear of failure.
A recent milestone in the history of the school has been the opening of the Sishu Griha Junior School at Malleshpalya in September 2019. This edifice of learning, a sprawling campus, houses the Montessori and the Primary Sections of the school.
