Sishu Griha prepares its students to not only flourish but also lead in a world which presents a different set of challenges and opportunities than those that previous generations were acquainted with.

We believe in preparing our students to effectively communicate, solve problems – using their critical and creative faculties, manage information, and learn how to participate in diverse teams. Our Workrooms and laboratories all work in harmony with the pedagogy of our school, sustaining and supporting our mission of providing hands-on experience in learning.

PARENT – TEACHER MEETINGS

Parents form an integral part of the child’s education and it is believed that meeting them at least twice a year to discuss the progress of their child, helps the child move ahead in academics. At the end of each term, the parents receive a written report of their child’s progress, which forms the basis for discussion at Parent-Teacher meetings. The dates for these are fixed during the course of the Academic Year.

BEYOND ACADEMICS

We understand that helping children blossom into creative and thoughtful young adults is essential and for that reason, we at Sishu Griha provide our students with a variety of opportunities to explore the world outside the textbook, identify their hidden talents and help bring them to fruition through constant encouragement.

LIFE SKILL PROGRAMMES

This uniquely designed programme for schools aims to impart life education that has a beneficial effect on the evolution of children into socially acceptable and responsible adults. These values are imparted through interesting activities.

Health Talk

A health talk is organised every year to address issues related to physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It is an informative event where Doctors, Health Care Professionals or Clinical Psychologists, are invited to address the children and create awareness about various aspects of health and safety. The topic is carefully chosen by teachers so that the talk is relevant, age appropriate and makes the students realise the significance of their body, mind, health and hygiene. Some of the interesting topics which have been dealt with are oral care and dental hygiene, nutritional requirements, adolescence, puberty and reproduction, ill-effects of mobile phones on health and handling academic pressure. The health talk is a combination of a visual presentation along with an informative and interactive session. The children are encouraged to raise their concerns and ask questions to the experts at the end of the talk.

Fire Drill

Fire drill is an important part of Sishu Griha’s safety and security programme. Some of the faculty members have undergone professional training to deal with evacuation procedures in case of fire and are thorough with first-aid. Fire drills are conducted to ensure students remain calm and alert in case of emergency.  Fire escape signs have been put up strategically in various parts of the school and regular maintenance of fire-extinguishers and smoke alarms are done.

QUALITY CIRCLE TIME

The Quality Circle Time sessions are where the redressal of grievances happen in a comfortable environment. Here the teacher and the students sit in a circle and explore one particular topic. The students are allowed to speak their mind and encouraged to come up with solutions on their own.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

Senior School students put on a spectacular show with their 'Yearbook Reflections' musical, celebrating the joys, challenges, and memories that make school life so special. Through song, dance, and acting, our young performers brought to life the poignant and light-hearted moments that weave the tapestry of school life. It was a joy to watch them recreate these memories with such talent and passion.
