SKILL BASED TESTS

Skill based tests have been an integral part of Sishu Griha’s learning process and the school realises the importance of such tests as an assessment tool for every student. The school has been a pioneer in piloting the Asset tests and Detailed Assessment tests conducted under the aegis of Education Initiatives and has successfully continued implementing the same for more than a decade. The school also encourages Math, Science, Cyber, English and Green Olympiads to give students opportunities to explore subject related, higher order thinking questions. These measures have helped to build the reasoning, application and analysis skills of the students immensely over the years.

In association with Education Initiatives, a pioneer in pedagogical research and technology-based solutions, we have the following programme

ASSET

ASSET is a talent identification assessment designed scientifically to enable students to discover their academic potential and identify learning gaps. These tests are conducted once a year for Grades 6 to 10 at the Senior school in subjects such as English, Math, Science and Social Studies. Students who score above 85% are eligible for the second level of testing. The identified talent will have access to curated courses and talent development programmes.

MINDSPARK

This is a bouquet of personalize learning offered in Math and Science for Grades 6 to 8. This software allows the student to proceed at their own pace. Students are given time in the school labs to work on the programme under the teacher’s guidance. The students are encouraged and advised to continue their work at home. The programme adapts itself to individual students’ learning level and provides feedback based on the students' response.

ASSET COMPUTATIONAL THINKING

This test enhances problem solving skills and processes that helps individual students to navigate complex problems and thereby help them to design technology-based solutions. This assessment is offered to students of Grade 6 to 10 in the Senior school.

CARES

This programme has a series of assessment tests chapter-wise in Math and Science for Grades 6 to 8. This programme helps teachers to identify the learning gaps students have at conceptual level and then work on remediation to overcome common misconceptions.

MINDLER

As an initiative towards helping students, we have integrated a career guidance portal with Mindler (www.mindler.com) which has developed a comprehensive Career Guidance Platform for the use of students of Grades 9, 10 & 11. Mindler helps students discover their unique potential which helps them make an apt career choice through comprehensive assessments. The comprehensive career guidance eco-system is aimed at empowering students to make well- informed career decisions. The programme offers the students in- person interactions with career counsellors.
